USA Bound Again!

Updated: Feb 28, 2025

For the fourth time in a little over two years. 2022 was a great year of travelling for me as detailed here https://www.my11yearplan.com/post/2022-a-year-in-review Iceland, Switzerland, Turkey and the US and Canada twice. All bar one of those trips, Turkey, was spent with my brother and partly due to him living in Switzerland at the start of 2022 and then moving to the US in the late summer of the same year and also 100% due to the fact his trip to Iceland changed because he split with his long term partner and I benefitted as a consequence. Result! Well it was for me. Shrugged shoulder emoji I had my 50th in the US, spending the day on the filming location of Jaws, Martha's Vineyard and ten years to the day when I was first due over there as my, now ex, wife was planning it as a surprise for my 40th. I ruined that by deciding to leave her, as, if you are a faithful and dedicated reader of my posts you will already know. I was also in the US when The Queen passed. Then again for Christmas 2022, and the start of 2023, not the first time I was abroad for that festive period, but certainly less warzone like. 2023 saw me stateside again with trips to Miami and Canada from the Boston base. At the start of 2024 I decided to grab some early sun, booked some days off in March and considered an all inclusive trip to Egypt. Well, the start of 2024 didn't go as planned, fuck, and it really didn't get any better as I wrote about below. https://www.my11yearplan.com/post/2024-can-f-cking-f-ck-off

The year progressed Sam came over from the US and we had a trip to the Lakes and, as I explain above, I had not had what I called a 'sun holiday' since Turkey 2022, I thought I was due one, just some time doing nothing, by a pool and stated to look at all inclusive breaks again. Are you like me (ooosh I hope not, I am not right in the head sometimes) do you wait for the 'right time' before doing certain 'tasks', such as booking the holiday, starting the gym etc.? I always go by my gut, I don't always know why, but it always feels right and so I was resisting booking the sun holiday, but I didn't know why. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- November 2024.

Well, I didn't post this, in fact, dear reader, I'd forgotten it even existed. I went to the US of A. Again. There it is. End of post. Wait, no ellipsis. I always ends on an ellipsis and now you feel cheated. Ok, I'll indulge. It was fun...

I like how this content focuses on practical guidance. Many people rely on correct Islamic prayer schedule to ensure they don’t miss any salah.
